Mannar Venkalam undertakes metal works involved in the construction and renovation of temples and other buildings. We are experts in providing metal roof covering and traditional metal works for pillars, doors, lamps and flag masts at temples.
P Palani Achary, the proprietor of Mannar Venkalam & Traditional Handicrafts, holds the prestigious A class Contract License from the Travancore Devaswom Board for works related to temple construction and renovation. He has undertaken renovation and metal works of almost a 100 temples in Kerala alone. Some of the most famous temples among these include Sabarimala Ayyappa Temple and Pazhavangadi Ganapathi Temple. Besides, he has undertaken works of temples located in Mumbai, Kolkata, Karnataka, Goa, Delhi and Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Altogether, during these three decades, he has undertaken almost 250 projects.
With Lord Ayyappa’s grace, the opportunity for undertaking works on flagpole at Sabarimala temple was awarded by Devaswom to Mr: P Palani Achary, having Devaswom Board contract “A” grade license. He accomplished the project in the year 2017 and has a good track record in Devaswom temple reconstructing works. The project was accomplished with utmost faith, trust and integrity crowned with highly talented craftsmanship.
With God’s grace, Mr P Palani Achary was awarded with the opportunity to undertake the copper-roofing work of the sanctum sanctorum at Pazhavangadi Ganapathy Temple and also covering the door of the sanctum sanctorum, pillar and dome with gold. The conical roofing was done with teak ceiling. Copper works for other deities at the temple— Dharmashastha, Goddess Durga and Nagaraja were also done in the year 2019
